Eddie G. Stevenson, 62, of Town Creek died Saturday, August 2nd. at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center in Moulton.  His funeral will be Thursday, August 7th. at 1:00 at First Missionary Baptist Church in Town Creek.  Burial will follow in Landersville Cemetery.  He will be placed in the church one hour prior to the funeral.

Eddie was born August 6th, 1951 in Town Creek, Alabama.  He was the youngest of eight children born to the late Willie and Eva stevenson.  He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age and joined First Missionary Baptist Church, Town Creek, where he later was a member of the Brotherhood.  He graduated in 1969 from Central High School, Courtland, Alabama.  He retired in August 2013 from the Labors Local Union 366, Sheffield, Alabama.

Eddie was a wonderful father, compassionate, generous, and he loved life.  His life will forever be cherished and remembered by his family, friends and co-workers.

Eddie was preceded in death by his parents:  Willie and Eva Stevenson; brothers:  Thomas, Willie James, Melvin and Wallace Ozell Stevenson and a sister:  Gracie Mae Brown.

He leaves to mourn his passing three children:  Eddie (Daisha) Whiteside, Muscle Shoals, AL, Andrea (Antonio) Abernathy, Sheffield, AL, Doynesa (Tryrome) Bynum, Decatur, AL;he was blessed with five grandchildren:  Quenisha Harris, Chyna Troupe, Myeisha Whiteside, Tyler Troupe and Samya Whiteside; one sister:  Jeanette Penchion, Cleveland, OH; one brother:  Collis (Betty) Stevenson, Courtland, AL; a sister-in-law:  Glenda Stevenson, Decatur, AL; special cousins:  Nathaniel Almon, Otis Almon and Brenda Penchion.  He also leaves to cherish his memory, devoted nephews, Gary Maurice and Wince Brown and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
