I am so sorry to hear about your loved one. It is very difficult to lose someone you love. Jesus taught his followers to pray for God's Kingdom to come and that kingdom or government will put an end to sickness (Isaiah 33:24) it will put an end to pain and death (Revelation 21:4) and those who have died will be resurrected. Jesus showed us on a small scale while on earth what the Kingdom would be able to do on a larger scale under his rule.
