He was a proud member of the Laborers Local 366. He worked many years in construction and maintenance and retired from Reynolds. He also spent a lot of time in the fields helping family. Upon retiring, he became known as the local “watermelon man”. He took pride in his patch and what came from it. He enjoyed spending time in his garden and tending to his grass.

He loved family time and spoiling his great grand kids with unlimited ice-cream cones. He was an active and faithful member of church where he ran the sound system. His favorite place to eat was Walton’s for some fried catfish.
