Scotty Kilpatric Obituary

Scotty Kilpatric, 55, of Moulton passed away, Wednesday, July 30, 2025. Visitation will be held at  Jackson Funeral Home Sunday, August 3, 2025 from 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm directly followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm. Burial will be in Midway Memorial Gardens.

Born on December 12, 1969, Scotty was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend and truly lived up to the name Unc. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 36 years, LaWanda Kilpatric, and their children: Scotty Kilpatric Jr., Whitney Miller (Dillan), Heather Kilpatric, Summer Lott (Blake), and Gabriel Kilpatric.

Scotty’s pride and joy were his grandchildren: Ayden, Bristol, Bella, Destin, Avery, Memphis, Charlie, Elias, and Amari — each of whom he loved deeply and without measure.

He is also survived by his sister, Shannon Barker, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and cherished friends who will miss him dearly.

Scotty was preceded in death by his parents, Canaria “Nubbin” Kilpatric and Catherine Jo McGee Kilpatric; his brother, Canaria “Buddy” Kilpatric; his sister, Cynthia Ann “Cindy” Barnes; and his precious granddaughter, Alliyah Anna Faye Miller.

His love for Alabama football was a sight to see — he bled crimson and white, cheering on the Tide with unmatched passion. Scotty was a man deeply loved by his family, friends, and community, known for his loyalty, humor, and heart. He shared a special, unbreakable bond with his niece Abby, affectionately known to him as “Pumpkin.” Their love and loyalty to one another were unconditional. He shared a bond that can’t be explained with his nephew Chris as well, one that was unwavering with loyalty. He also shared a special friendship with his best friend, Shannon Bond — a bond rooted in loyalty, laughter, love, and unwavering support.

Scotty had a heart as big as his personality — always cracking a joke, lending a hand, and loving his family fiercely. His legacy lives on through the memories shared, the love he gave, and the family he built.

He will be missed beyond words and remembered forever.
