Polly Butler, 91, of Sheffield, formerly of Town Creek died July 28, 2021. Visitation will be Saturday July 31, 2021 from 12-1 PM at Jackson Memory Funeral Home directly followed by the funeral service. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Mattie “ Polly” Elizabeth Butler, 91, of Sheffield, formerly of town creek died July 28, 2021 at home surrounded by family.

Polly, born Mattie Elizabeth Gibson was born on April 28, 1930 in Lawrence County, AL to Leatie Mae Gibson Hill and Willie D, Gibson. She later relocated to Chicago, IL where she met her husband Billy Butler, of Dothan, AL. Billy and Polly were married for 46 years until his passing in 2006.

Polly was preceded in death by her husband, Parents, a son Billy Wayne Butler, and siblings; Minnie Lee King, Dorothy Parker, Fendall Gibson, William Gibson, Thomas Gibson, and Rosie Lee Span.

Polly leaves to cherish her memory, One sister, Margie Nell Robinson. Three sons; Roger Cassel (Jean) of Russellville, James Lennon (Billie) of Bloomingdale IL, and Randy Butler of Sheffield. Two daughters; Catherine Beck of Hartselle, and Diane Simmons of Sheffield. Seven grandchildren; Jeri Lyn Cassel, Jennifer Bowman, Shannon Morrow, Brian Beck, Joey Butler, Courtney Butler, Renee Kuhn. Ten Great grandchildren; Tyler Kuhn, Peyton Kuhn, Nickolas Kuhn, Declan Bowman, Cain Armistead, Cormac Bowman, Stone Morrow, Mia Eckley, Shiah Beck, Zayne Smith, Kraven Smith, and Augustine Butler.
