Monzell Gholston, 40, of Town Creek died March 10, 2022. The funeral will be held at Mt. Zion M.B. Church in Town Creek, on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow in Mt. Zion M.B. Church Cemetery. Public viewing will be held at Jackson Memory Funeral Home Wednesday, March 16, 2022 from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

                                Obituary

Mr. Monzell Gholston entered into life on August 17, 1981 in Lawrence County, Alabama to the late Dorris Gholston Davenport and Ezell McClain. He departed this earthly life March 10, 2022 in Huntsville, Alabama.

He accepted Christ at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Town Creek under the leadership of Pastor Darius Holden, where he remained a faithful member until his death. He was a graduate of Hazlewood High School class of 2000. He was well known in the area and will truly be missed. 

He was preceded in death by his mother Dorris Gholston Davenport. 

Monzell leaves to cherish his memories a loving father Ezell McClain of Hillsboro, AL; a devoted step-father Ronnie Davenport of Town Creek, AL; his son Cameron Avante Carter of Town Creek, AL; five sisters, Sherry(Allen) Gholston of Decatur, AL, Stacy(Jason) Davis of Muscle Shoals, AL, Natalie Hill of Decatur, AL, Yolonda(Jeremiah) McConico of Montgomery, AL,  Ashley Gholston of Town Creek, AL; one brother Corey Gholston of Courtland, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives, and friends.
