Lula Reedus, 66, of Town Creek died July 1, 2022. Her funeral will be Thursday, July 7, 2022 at Red Bank Missionary Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery. She will be placed in the church one hour prior to her service. Public viewing will be Wednesday from 10-5 here at the funeral home.
Obituary
Lula Marie Jones Reedus was born to the late Mack and Mary Joyce King on July 21, 1955, in Lawrence County, Alabama. She was a faithful member of Red Bank Baptist Church until she became ill. She attended Central High School. Lula moved to Chattanooga, TN where she lived for 32 years before moving back to Town Creek, AL where she passed into her eternal rest on July 1, 2022.
She was preceded in death by her husband Percy Jones, three brothers Thruman King, Mack King, Carl Lee King, two sisters Irene Porter and Dean King.
Lula leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Richard Reedus; three sons Craig (Carol) King of Sheffield, AL, Marlon (Demetrice) Jones of Chattanooga, TN, Clinton (Tawana) Jones of Chattanooga, TN; three sisters Ann (Willie) Reed, Alma (Carl) Buchanan both of Chicago, IL, Claire King of Town Creek, AL; three brothers Lieutenant Fuqua of Chattanooga, TN, Howard (Phyllis) King, and Lesley Porter both of Town Creek, AL; eight grandchildren, Deloris, Chequana, Jasmine, LaDarrius, Shamiyah, NaTasia, Marlon Jr., MaLahn; ten greatgrandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A special devoted niece Wanda Boggus.
