Lorraine Edwards

Lorraine Whitaker Edwards, 79 of Hampton, Virginia, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, Feb 5, 2025. Lorraine was born in 1946 in Philadelphia, PA to parents Naomi & Joseph Whitaker. She lived in many places but settled  in Hampton, VA in 2002. In June 2023 Lorraine was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer & continued to battle this illness as it spread throughout her body and led to her unfortunate passing in 2025. 

Lorraine leaves behind her 3 children, Dolphine Cooper, Pierre Stanford, and Wanda Stanford. 6 grandchildren, Russell & Tehran Freeman, Rachanda Earskin, Hadiyah Coates, Petros & Phoebe Stanford. Lorraine also leaves behind her younger siblings Ulysses Whitaker & Sarah Carter and 7 great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors. She will truly be missed.
