Mr. Leonard Orr was born August 10, 1957 to Charlie Frank and Lillie Mae Orr. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Jackson Chapel CME Church, where he remained faithful until his health failed.

Leonard graduated from Courtland High School in 1976, where he was a star fullback for the Courtland Chiefs football team. He was also an outstanding basketball player, who wore the #32 jersey with great pride. Leonard furthered his education at Howard University in Washington D. C., where he started for the Howard Bison football team. Leonard loved the game of football. His favorite college team was the University of Alabama Crimson Tide and his favorite NFL Team was the Pittsburg Steelers. Leonard loved watching his grandson Kendall play basketball. When he felt that a wrong call was made, his famous yell was "make 'em pay". Leonard loved singing with Jackson Chapel CME Church Male Chorus, where he sometimes lead songs like "Stay With Jesus". He could be heard singing songs around the house, often changing the words to match his personal testimony.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, grandson, Khamari; sister, Bert Ann Hubbard; and grandparents Alter Lee and Novella Orr.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 40 years, Sylvia Orr; two daughters: Volandria Lashay (Pastor Robert, Sr.) Pearl, Brentwood CA and Kamisha R. Orr, Hillsboro, AL; two brothers: Arther (Carolyn) Orr, Hillsboro, AL and Charlie F.
