Lee Edward Pride, 65, of North Courtland died September 11, 2020. There funeral will be 10 am Tuesday, at First Missionary Baptist Church of Courtland. Burial will follow at Courtland Cemetery. Public viewing will be Monday from 10-6 at Jackson Memory Funeral Home.
Obituary
Lee Edward Pride was born on May 17, 1955 to the late Wardie and Dorothy Pride. He was the 3rd born of 10 children. He was a 1973 graduate of Courtland High School and retired from 3M after 39½ years of employment. He married the love of his life Sarah Pointer Pride and remained a faithful and loving husband of 41 years. He joined First Baptist Church at an early age where he remained faithful until his demise. He was the church’s drummer for over 30 years. He loved gospel music, martial art, gardening landscaping, detailing, and restoring antique cars. His family was the love of his life. He was a mentor to all who knew him. Wardie O. Pride, Dorothy Pride, Wardie Pride Jr., Brenda Pride, and Sadie Pearl Pride all preceded him in death.
Lee leaves to cherish his memories: A loving wife, Sarah Pointer Pride of Courtland, AL; two daughters: Coronda Orr (Deano), LaShada Pride both of Madison, AL; three grandchildren: Atyah, Aubrey and Aaden Jones all of Madison, AL; nine siblings; Rev. Roger Pride, James Lyles (Beverly), Mildred King (Don) all of Decatur, AL, Linda Pride, Carl Pride, Minister Craig Pride and Dorothy Pride Jones all of Courtland, AL, Barbara Byrd (Jesse) and Wendell Pride (Yvonne) both of Hillsboro, AL. He also leaves behind a host of nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts, other relatives, and friends.
