                                         Obituary

Floyd Lee Birgans Sr. was born on February 22, 1952, in Lawrence County to the late J.B. Birgans Sr., and Lillie Mae Pointer Birgans. He departed this life on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Decatur Morgan Hospital. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, J.B. Birgans, Jr. He was the fourth oldest child of his eleven (11) siblings. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Alabama where he remained a member until his death. Floyd served his country in the United States Army for four years. Upon leaving the military he was employed by Daniel Construction Corporation as a general contractor before retiring with a back injury. Floyd was a fun-loving and hardworking man. He enjoyed listening to music and helping others. Each year he would plant a garden which he professed as his hobby. It brought him such joy, pleasure, and relaxation to grow his vegetables and share his harvest with the elderly residents within the community, family, and friends.
