Exodys (Bankston) Simpson

Mrs. Exodys Simpson, 82, of Hillsboro died Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Decatur General Hospital. There will be a graveside service at 12:00 pm, Wednesday September 16, 2020 at Decatur City Cemetery. Public Viewing will be Tuesday from 12-6 at Jackson Memory Funeral Home.

Exodys Bankston Simpson was born on August 29, 1938 in Hillsboro, Alabama. She was the fourth of five children born to Charlie and Willie Ann Bankston who preceded her in death. She received her formal education at Tennessee Valley High School. Exodys professed Jesus as Lord at an early age at First Missionary Baptist Church in Hillsboro, Alabama. She married Freddie Simpson and to this union five children were born. Exodys transitioned to Heaven on September 12, 2020.

She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband Freddie; her children Frederick, Marietta Faye, Daphne, Steven (Birdester), Bryan (Clynise); twelve grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, three sisters, Curley Horton, Athlyn Hall (Earnest) and Juliet Foster (Major); one sister-in-law, Mattie Simpson, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
