Earnest L. Nance Jr., 37, of North Courtland died August 6, 2020 at Decatur General Hospital. There will be a graveside service at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Noon. Public Viewing will be Saturday from 1-6 and Sunday from 12-6.

Earnest Lee Nance, Jr. was born on December 3, 1982 in Decatur, AL to Betty Irene Nance and the late Earnest Lee Nance, Sr. He transitioned from this life to his heavenly home on Thursday, August 6, 2020 after a lengthy illness in local hospitals. He was preceded in death by his father, Earnest Lee Nance, Sr, and a brother, Kenneth Nance. Earnest accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized at First Missionary Baptist Church Town Creek, AL. He later went on to become a member of First Missionary Baptist Church Courtland, AL.
He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving son, Eian Nikel Nance; a loving, devoted and caring mother, Betty Irene Nance; siblings, Jennifer Nance Hood (O’Brine) of Town Creek, AL, Barry Crayton (Dana) of Decatur, AL, Terrence Myron Nance (Annie) of Concord, NC, Brenda Nance of Courtland, AL, Earnestine Nance (Theodore) of Courtland, AL, Clifford Mareece Nance of Courtland, AL; nieces and nephews; Roderick, Ken, Derek, Amberly, Ishimeal, Zamoni, Asyia, Taylor, Kaniya, Zateeana, Taniya, Jackson, Marcus; special nephew, Braylen; special cousin, Demetria Garth; special friend, Mike Patton; aunt and uncles, Willie King (Dorothy), Ralph King, Martha Pearl Stover, Florence King, Laudie Robinson, Mary Felton, Erra Warner, Eliza Mason (Erista), Shirley King, Yvonne King, Linda Garner (Marvin); two great nieces and five great nephews. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
