                               Obituary

Deborah Yvette Langham was born on August 28, 1955 to the late Myrtle I. Langham and the late Neal Penchion Sr. She departed this life on December 20, 2024 at Huntsville Hospital. She confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined First Missionary Baptist Church in Town Creek, AL. She graduated from Hazlewood High School in 1973.

Deborah Yvette leaves behind a loving family; son Antonio “Tonio” Langham, daughter Shonneky ”Neky” Walter, son-in-law Antione Walter and, daughter Yolandra “Buffy” Langham; grandchildren Tarah Langham, Antoinette Walter-Langham, Cameron Walter-Langham; and great-grandchildren Brielle Langham, Nova Simmons, Austin (AJ) Simmons Jr. and Aria Simmons; siblings Vernell (Clyde) Goode, Marie Langham, Brenda Little, Dolline (Joseph) Marshall, Doristine (Paul) Grimes, Collie Joe (Doyle Ann) Langham, Robert (Clara) Penchion, James “Mikey”(Cecily) Penchion, Brenda Penchion Goodwin, Anthony Penchion and Bobby “Cornell” Penchion.

She was preceded in death by brothers Neal Penchion Jr. and Freddie “Frog” Penchion.

Yvette had a smile that lit up every room she entered. She never met a stranger and treated everyone she met with love. She made people feel important and she let them know that they mattered. Family was everything to her and she showed it. She was always there for her family and helped them celebrate their high points and provided comfort and care through their low points. She had a special relationship with her nieces and nephews, and she wanted each of them to know that she loved them all so much. We have been blessed to hear and read the loving memories that so many people have shared with us about her. Deborah Yvette was a wonderful teacher but one of the greatest lessons she taught us that when you make mistakes you made amends. She taught us about God’s grace and mercy, a grace that she taught us to be thankful for every day. Nothing about losing her has been easy but we find comfort in knowing that she is rejoicing with our Lord and that there is no more pain. We will miss her, love and honor her and will joyously await the day that we are united with her again.
