Curtis Whitfield

Curtis Whitfield, 73, of Town Creek died August 7, 2022 at his residence. The funeral will be held at Emmanuel CCC in Leighton, Saturday, August 13, 2022, at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery in Town Creek. Public viewing will be Friday from 12:00 - 5:00 at Jackson Memory.

                              Obituary

Mr. Curtis Whitfield was born on April 18, 1949 to Mose Whitfield Sr. and Alice Smiley Whitfield. He graduated from Central High School in Courtland, Alabama on May 12, 1969, and was a decorated Air Force Serviceman and two tour Vietnam Veteran. He retired from the 3M Corporation after thirty-three years of service. Even more so, he was a dedicated husband, father, brother, and friend to countless others who crossed his path. One of his passions was fishing, but the greatest passion for him was teaching the Word of God and seeing the transformative power of God at work. This was especially true of his work with the Restoration Ranch. He was a devoted member, teacher, and elder at Emanuel Christian Center Church in Leighton, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his Father Mose, his mother Alice, a brother Allen Draper, a sister Lerlene Santoyo, his loving wife Rhodell Robinson Whitfield, his children (fraternal twins) Andy and Annie Whitfield, daughter Latricia Curtina Whitfield Vinson, and a granddaughter Megan Greenwell.

He is survived by two sisters: Etta McAfee and Patricia Dupree, a brother Mose Whitfield, Jr. His beloved children: Two Brothers: Kelvin (Sonya) Whitfield of Jeffersonville, IN; Keith (Delisa) Robinson of Birmingham, AL; One Sister: Moki (Chris) Evans of Gaithersburg, MD. Grandchildren: Devonte Whitfield, Isaac Whitfield, Keenan Robinson, Keith Robinson, Jr., Ameera Robinson, Kaitlin Eitz, Shaina Evans, Keturah Whitfield, Rhodesia Whitfield, and Germain Gershon Vinson. Also a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
