Bobbie Neal Obituary

Bobbie Sue Neal, 85, of Town Creek/Decatur passed away peacefully on August 6, 2024. The funeral will be Friday, August 9th at 11:00am, visitation 1 hour before at 10:00am at Jackson Memory Funeral Home with Jackson Cox and the family leading the service.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery with Jackson Memory Funeral Home in charge.

Bobbie was born July 7, 1939 to Fred and Hazel Young. Born the youngest of four daughters, she would often reflect on the joys of her simple childhood and sweet memories with her sisters, with the exception of the cotton picking .

Bobbie married Jack Brooks Neal, and together they built a beautiful family. In her final days, she expressed that aside from her salvation through Christ, her family was the greatest gift of her life. Most importantly, she was unwavering in her faith in Jesus Christ and immersed herself in His Word. She could not wait to be home with Brooks in the presence of the Lord.

She was a firecracker of a woman who spoke her mind. She loved her church family at First Baptist Church in Town Creek, where she was a life long member, a good  card game of Skip-Bo, a cheese toast with a garden tomato, and watching professional sports in her recliner. She was loved so deeply and will be missed tremendously by all who knew her.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Neal, as well as her parents and siblings. She is survived by two daughters, Donna Williams(Rickie) and Merri Cox. She has four grandchildren: Emily Miller (Brad), Adam Williams (Kelsi), Kayla Cox, and Jackson Cox(Tessa). Babs has five beloved, great-grandchildren: Maggie, Will, Donavon, Nollie, and Dylan. She is also survived by a host of family whom she loved dearly and her best friend through all seasons of life, Mae Wood.

Pallbearers are Adam Williams, Will Smith, Brad Miller, Mikie Kirby, Ken Johnson and Mack Haraway.

Honorary Pallbearer is Donavon Cox.
