Peggy (Greene) Harris

Peggy Greene Harris, 66, of Town Creek, the "Red Bank community" died Saturday, Nov. 3rd at Huntsville Hospital. Her funeral will be Thursday, Nov 8th at 1:00 PM in the Jackson Memory Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Ebenezer Cemetery in Town Creek. Public Viewing will be Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Mrs. Peggy Jo Greene Harris was born September 5, 1952, in Lawrence County Alabama to the
late Mr. Walter Greene and Annie B. Garner Croone. She passed into eternal rest on November
3, 2018 at Huntsville Hospital after a brief illness.
Peggy confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist
Church in Town Creek, AL. She was a loving and caring wife to her late husband Thomas “Sweet”
Harris, Sr. for 48 years, a wonderful and loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, sister, and
aunt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, her beloved daughter; Robin Chantelle
Harris, four brothers; Joe Greene, James Greene, George Thomas Greene, Thomas Edward
Greene, and a god-son; Spencer Garner.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory one son, Thomas Harris, Jr. of Town Creek, AL;
two god-sons, Douglas Garner (Crystal) and Donald Garner both of Decatur, AL; one
daughter, Raven Harris-Edmonson (Ramon) of Athens, AL, two god-daughters, Gina Steward
(Roderick) and Terri Black (Byron) both of Decatur, AL; five granddaughters, Peyton (Tavar),
Tatum, Sydney, Raegan, Brylee; two grandsons, Tre’ and Tyler; one great-grandson; T. J.;
one great-granddaughter, Prestyn; two brothers, Tommie D. Croone (Wyominia) of
Leighton, AL and Michael Greene of Town Creek, AL; one sister-in-law, Sabrina Harris of
Decatur, AL, two brothers-in-law, Cornell Harris (Brenda) of Town Creek, AL and Cedric Harris
(Brenda) of Moulton, AL. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends whose lives she
touched with her smile, invitations into her home and her many acts of kindness.
