Charlie Henry Hill Sr. died June 29, 2009, His funeral will be held Friday, July 3, at Ebeneezer Christian Church, at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow at Decatur City Cemetery in Town Creek, AL.

In 1957 Charlie married Ella Rean Phillips, five children were born, and two preceded him in death. Charlie's memory will be cherished by his three loving children, Vickie Little (Earnest), Charlie Hill Jr. (Marietta), and Monica Kennedy (Larry); nine faithful siblings, Evelyn Mayes, Roosevelt Hill (Lily), Wedell Coleman, Betsy Odum (Lorenzo), Robert Hill (Sarah), Joe Hill (Emma) Elease Watkins, Donald Hill and, McKinly Hill; eleven grandchildren, two which preceded him in death, Tyron Perkins, and Tank Little; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, one loyal friend Stanley Bates and a loving caring niece Eleasia Jemison.
