Mother Patricia "Pat" Campbell, 64, of Hillsboro died Friday, April 22nd at her residence. Her funeral will be Saturday, April 30th at 12:00 noon David Temple Primitive Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in Foster/Davis Cemetery. Public viewing will be Thursday and Friday from 10-7 at the funeral home.
Patricia was born in Hillsboro, Alabama to the late Mr. Thomas Henry Davis Sr. and Mrs. Mattie Lou Mason Davis. She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the David Temple P.B. Church. She served as a member of the Mother's Board, Missionary Society, Kitchen Committee and the Choir in her younger days. She remained faithful until her health began to fail.
She received her formal education at Tennessee Valley School in Hillsboro, Alabama. She attended Alabama A&M University. She received her certificate in Computer Information Systems from Calhoun Community College.
She loved to sew and as the years went by she was known as the town seamstress. In 2007 she opened "Pat's Alterations in Hillsboro. She could design anything from a handkerchief to a wedding gown. She always made each of her garments with love and pride.
On July 5, 1981 she was united in marriage to Carnell Campbell. To this union there were five children. Alfreda Davis Suggs, Nekita (Gerry) Mitchell of Birmingham, Alabama, Travis (LaTasha) Campbell of Decatur, Alabama, Tarrance (Aundria) Campbell Sr. of Hillsboro, Alabama, and Torrious Campbell of Memphis Tennessee; Thirteen grandchildren: Denzel, Tatyana, De'Azsha, Kaila, Kelsey, Zyia, Tyell, Savannah, Madison, Reagan, Kolby, Tarrance, Thomas. Seven siblings: Senoba (Clarence) White, Marcella (Ervin) Coffee, Irene (Luther-Deceased) Owens, Thomas Davis Jr., Doris Davis, Glenn (Doris Ann) Davis, and Roderick (Brenda) Davis; two sisters-in-law, Patricia Ramey and Shelia (Robert) Kimbrough three brothers-in-law, James (Branda) Campbell, Jessie Campbell and Charles Campbell-Deceased; two aunts, Odell Campbell of Florence, alabama and Betty Chapman of Bradford, Pennsylvania, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
