I was deeply saddened upon hearing about the homegoing of a great talented woman of God. I met "Bill" back in 1979 when my father, Rev. Roy Williams, Sr. was called to pastor Canaan M.B. Church in Hillsboro. I especially grew to love her when I became Minister of Music for the music department there at Canaan. For all who knew and for all who didn't know, "Bill" could SANG. I had the privilege of working with her in the choir, and I must say that it was always a pleasure. Canaan was blessed to record a cassette back in the 1980's entitled "Keep Right On Looking Up". "Bill" was featured on the classic "Jesus Can Work It Out". She sang the song with so much anointing, one of the choir members started praising God and shouting during the actual recording. That member was Mother Mary Clack, who now is a member of Pentecostal Lighthouse in Huntsville. I jokingly told the members to hold Ms. Clack. "We ain't got no money to pay for this equipment she may tear up. This was one of many fond memories of "Bill". Ironically, when I received the call of her passing, I had just finished listening to the recording of her and also one of the songs featuring the late Rev. Juanita Coffey. Family, I don't have to tell you that "Bill" was a great mother. She definitely was a mother figure to me. I have several recorded concerts of the choir when I was musician, and I definitely will cherish them. Well, "Bill", go ahead and take a well deserved rest. I bet you will be the "baddest" alto in the Heavenly Choir.

Granny, you are one special lady who is truly the epitome of a strong woman. As you rest in the Savior’s arms, we are all reminded of just how much you loved the Lord. Though we never could have imagined you leaving us so soon, we find comfort in all of the sweet memories you left with us. Rest assured we will see you again, and personally I can say that you were so much of the reason I am saved. We thank God for giving us such a beautiful, sweet, loving, and compassionate mother, grandmother, and dear friend. In our eyes, you were perfect in every way. Words cannot begin to express how much joy and appreciation you brought to our lives! Thank you Granny just for being perfect you. We love you and miss you beyond measure!

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends in your time of bereavement. At times like these, Jehovah God can give us" power beyond what is normal, so we can keep going from one day to the next." ( 2 Corinthians 4: 7 ) Always trust in the hearer of prayer. ( Psalms 65: 2 )
