Annie Phine Garth Mosley was born March 12, 1940 in Lawrence County, Alabama to the late George and Adline Garth. She departed this life August 12, 2017 at Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, Alabama.
Annie accepted Christ at an early age and joined Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Silas Hunt. She remained a faithful and dedicated member until her illness and death. She loved and supported her church. Annie was a quiet spirited lady of few words, but one of her favorite scripture passage was Psalm 121. She attended Central High School in Courtland, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, John W. Garth, and George E. Garth; two sisters, Beatrice Shoulders, and Della M. Stanley; one son, Elmer Mosley, Jr., and one grandson, Khamari I. Orr.
Annie was united in marriage to Elmer Mosley, Sr. (Chattanooga, Tennessee). She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Sylvia L. Orr (Leonard) of Hillsboro, Alabama; one son, Carl A. Mosley (Pam) of Decatur, Alabama; five grandchildren; LaShay Cotner, Kamisha Smith (Jacob), Manisha Johnson, Carla Mosley, and Danta Rollins; five great grandchildren; Kendall, Kolbie, Kyra, Caleigh, and Trinity. One brother, Connie Garth (Shirley) of Clinton Township, Michigan; two sisters, Eloise Garth Jones of Hillsboro, Alabama and Fannie Garth of Moulton, Alabama; one brother-in-law, Woodie Mosley (Patty) of North Courtland, Alabama; three sisters-in-law; Mary Mosley of Hillsboro, Alabama, Mattie Fuqua, and Mary Fuqua both of Chattanooga, Tennessee; one aunt, Annie Mae Watkins of Chattanooga, Tennessee. One special god-daughter, Carolyn Willard, of North Courtland, Alabama. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
